The industry of entertainment is a booming business. While many other industries have major recessions, entertainment seems untouchable. Now that many areas of sports, politics, and even everyday news events are showing up as entertainment, and with the increase in cable and satellite television, there is an unlimited supply of entertainment to watch and enjoy.

One major factor driving entertainment is the public's unlimited wish for new and exciting ways to be entertained. As the world becomes more complex, more difficult, more populated and more stressful, people want to escape reality with their own kinds of entertainment.

Another major factor dring entertainment is the unending supply of people of al ages, races, nationalities, genders, and occupations, who are wiling to almost sell their souls for the opportunity at a shot at fame, riches, prestige, and a lifestyle beyond anyone's dreams. There is never a shortage of people willing to work, some at little or no wages in order to be in show biz. Many will start out their careers in very obscure jobs, including dangerous, embarrassing, and ridiculous roles in order to be seen and to hopefully get invited or win the audition for a bigger, better role.
The goal for most people is to eventually be able to pick and choose the roles they want from those invited to them at the salary and compensation package they desire.
